How does pre-order work?
Order by Wednesday night. Your lamb is cut and packed on Friday, we collect it from Royal Wholesale Meats that morning and deliver it the following Monday. Brisbane, Moreton Bay south to Caboolture, and the Gold Coast. Delivery is free and we confirm your day by email.
Is it fresh or frozen?
Fresh. Every pack is vacuum sealed on Friday and arrives chilled, never frozen. Eat what you want this week and freeze the rest the day it lands. Vacuum sealed lamb keeps in the freezer for a year.
How much freezer space do I need?
If you freeze all of it, a whole lamb is about 30 litres, one big drawer of an upright freezer or a quarter of a small chest freezer. A half is about 15 litres.
Why do the weights say "about"?
Lambs come in between 16 and 24 kilos on the hook, so the packs land a little over or under the averages. One price either way.
Can I choose my own cuts?
Not for now. One standard break keeps the price to one number and the lamb moving. Legs and shoulders come as roasts, the loin and forequarter as chops.
Where is it from?
Grown on pasture in Tasmania, processed at M.C. Herd in Geelong, then cut and packed by Royal Wholesale Meats at Clontarf, north of Brisbane. Know the chain.
