One family who knows every goat by name
In 2023 the Gambles swapped their old working lives for a herd of goats at Moffatdale. Wayne left 40 years of building design for the paddock. Justine knows every girl in the herd, and every girl knows her. Brigitte comes home from nursing shifts to help, Joanne from her psychology practice. Four of them, up at dawn and back at dusk, milking and bottling by hand. This is the milk they pour for their own kids.
Milked twice a day, every day
The herd roams open paddocks at Moffatdale in the South Burnett. Milked morning and night, every day of the year, and the milk is bottled on the farm the same day.
Pasture, browse, oats and lucerne
Fresh pasture and browse, plus oats and lucerne hay grown on the property. The family works the paddocks and bales the hay themselves. No feedlot, no bought-in ration.
Bottled in their own dairy
Not heated, not homogenised. Bottled as it comes from the goat and frozen the same day, which holds the creamy flavour. Accredited by Safe Food Queensland (#127763000) to sell as drinking milk.
Straight from the goat
"Our herd roams freely across lush, green paddocks. They graze on fresh pasture, home-grown oats and quality lucerne hay, all produced right here on the farm. No feedlots, no shortcuts. That care is something you can taste in every drop."
