Four generations, since 1936
Ben Drynan is the fourth generation on Gallanani, 5km from Esk. Ninety years on the same land, with one rule: leave it better than you found it.
Mustered on horseback
Ben still musters the old way, on horseback with dogs, keeping the cattle calm. His own line: calm cattle equals tender beef.
Farmed to give back
8,500 acres run regeneratively: multi-species cover crops, no synthetic fertiliser, carbon drawn back into the soil. Farming that's part of the solution.
Processed 10km away
Bred and raised at Esk, processed ten minutes away at Brisbane Valley Meats, then delivered by Ben himself. About 10km their whole life.
Food is connection
"When a family sits down to a meal of Esk Beef, that's their chance to slow down and be together. It's connection, and that matters. We're humbled to be on people's tables."
